With its official designation as Nepal's tourism capital, Pokhara is now open for visitors 24/7

Special declaration at Phewa Lake, Barahi Ghat, said Pokhara gained a key label in tourism." According to this declaration, Pokhara is now placed as one of the main world tourism destinations. Mayor Dhanaraj Acharya stressed how this recognition boosts the reputation of Pokhara as a whole across the world and opens doors to more development and promotion associated with its unique attractions.

Moreover, some industries in Pokhara, such as discos, nightclubs, and halls with live music, will be permitted to operate on a 24-hour basis. Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey elaborated that those at places like Lakeside and Prithvi Chowk can keep their place open up to 1 am if they meet certain standards.

Located at the foot of the magnificent Annapurna mountains overlooking the tranquil Phewa Lake, Pokhara binds natural beauty with rich cultural heritage together. It is the starting point for some of the popular treks like the Annapurna Circuit and an area full of art.
