During an Everest expedition, two people, one Nepali, have disappeared.
Their disappearance was confirmed by the Department of Tourism, headed by Kali Bahadur Bhujel. The incident happened when they were coming down from the height of 8750 meters near South Summit early this morning. Tenzi Sherpa and Daniel Paul Peterson had achieved their target to reach Mount Everest on 21 May.
Their expedition was managed by Eight K. Expedition Pvt Ltd. Following their disappearance, a team of six professional mountain guides has been mobilized for search and rescue efforts. The Department of Tourism called for cooperation from all parties involved in the search operation.
