A promotional event showcasing tourism in Nepal took place in Beijing

The programme was organised to establish close links between Nepali and Chinese tour operators, said an Embassy press release.

In the inaugural speech, Ambassador Bishnu Pukar Shrestha highlighted Nepal's main attractions in the field of tourism and urged joint collaboration to make Visit Nepal Year 2025, a joint campaign of Nepal and China, a big success. He urged the participants to further deepen tourism cooperation between the two countries.

During the programme itself, Kundan Sharma Mishra of Nepal Tourism Board projected Nepal as an exciting tourism destination, with a focus on Pokhara, recently announced as the tourism capital of Nepal.

The NATTA president, Hari Ram Adhikari, and member Khim Bahadur Nepali also dusted off their ideas over the potentiality of Nepal's tourism.

This was followed by an interactive B2B session. The program was attended by nearly 150 participants comprising Nepal and Chinese tour operators, private tourism sector stakeholders and media personnel.
